Sep 2024 now weve owned the tv 2.5 yrs since spring 2022. Some days I walk into the room past the tv playing within 4 feet and cannot believe how colorful and sharp the picture is. Its as if we got an electronic upgrade or replaced the tv all together. Its an amazing experience and reminds me how blessed we are.

I bought this TV in January 2022 spending almost $2000 including tax. I expect TV this expensive should last more than 3 years but it went dead after 2 and half years. Authorized repair shop quoted me $500 to fix the board. I would rather use that money to buy a cheaper Chinese TV instead.

Purchased from Best Buy and was a great tv while it lasted. When purchasing I expected a tv thats over 2000 dollars to last longer than 3 years. Watching the other night the screen scrambles and it turns itself off the red light does nothing but flash three times. After that it turned into 65 paper weight. Buy a cheap one itll last 2-3 years and youll save yourself 1500 bucks.

Avoid LG Until Better Ethernet Cards are Used

I purchased this TV to replace a 10+ year old LG that we loved simply because of age and the lack of a quality streaming services available on older LGs. Unfortunately even brand-new LGs appear to have the same limitation. We have high speed internet to our home and an Orbi 960 Mesh WiFi system. The TV has a Cat6 wired connection and only runs at between 15 - 24 Mbps. ANY other piece of equipment placed on the exact same Cat6 cable runs between 325 - 360 Mbps. Switching the LG to the WiFi results in the same 15 - 24 Mbps download speeds. Other equipment on the WiFi placed in the same position as the TV runs at a slightly slower 240 - 280 Mbps but this is to be expected as a wired connection should always be faster. For reference on Amazon Day I purchased one of their 65 Fire Tvs for $599 or $699 cant remember and its download speed tests 225 - 250 Mbps over WiFi. The issue is with more and more programming going to 4K resolution and higher download speeds are critical. We routinely get buffering and pixelating on the television and any time you switch shows or programming there is ALWAYS a lag in the picture quality. The first few seconds are in SD format and then the buffering catches up and it switches to HD. At first we thought something was wrong with the TV or our eyes because we were like Why is the picture blurry? then it would correct to HD LOL. I have had an open Case# with LG Engineering for 2+ months now and still have not heard from them. Customer Support indicates the hardware and software is capable of 100 Mbps download speeds and anything slower than that is my Internet causing the issue. Hahaha I literally laughed at the guy on the phone when he told me that and then went through all the tests I have down again. So until LG corrects the issues with their hardware and software download speeds I would avoid this TV.

Just over a year of owning this tv I got a white line down the center had to fight with LG for a screen replacement for a few months but they finally did it in 07/2023 also replaced the motherboard. 05/2024 the. HDMI inputs detect my device PS5 then blackout after a few minutes. Was told my year started over for warranty called LG and they said only 90 days after the replacement of the screen and motherboard. The product is top tier when its working but to have a screen motherboard and now HDMI issues after almost 2 years is unacceptable. Especially when youre paying near 2k for the TV. This is the 120 frame model not the 60.

Garbage Dressed Up To Look Good

This TV was very expensive and very good until it went out of warranty and a big white line was seen vertical down the screen. LG then said out of warranty not our problem and it is a $1600 repair without LG having a good quality model to follow. I do wish Id gotten the three year warranty because I liked it before I came to realize the trash it is and how horrible LG is about being responsible. Also I was spoiled by the Amazon lit remote I bought for the TV I got from Amazon no white lines and 1/3 the price and that made me hate the remote to this piece of crap TV. Tell your friends never buy an LG because if it turns to garbage they laugh and it does not matter.

Poor Build Quality

Purchased the C1 65 in August of 2022 -- wonderful out the box. It was a 5-star product. The TV sat in place unused for a year while I was out of country. When I returned it still looked perfect for all of about 6 weeks before dead pixels began to appear in the far upper left soon followed by the far upper right. Pixel refresh did not solve the issue. For $1600 US I expected to be able to enjoy this TV for years to come. This was the last LG OLED to support black frame insertion at 120hz the feature I bought this specific model for. Some research indicates dead pixels plague many of these panels. Thanks LG.

Hi LG HAS BE GREAT you at LG fixed my TV for me I had TOLD everyone how Fantastic LG and so is my TV. My husband bought it about a 2 years ago and it happened to go on off and LG fixed my TV. My husband died last year I am on social security only. I thank you LG so very much and like I said I have made sure everyone knows how wonderful LG and I have wonderful colors with this TV always have. thank you so very much. The only thing I was unhappy with was the people who put it together changed me 175.00. And I am very poor. I will be 80 in August. Hugs

Purchased this TV Nov 2022 and it died yesterday two months after the manufacture warranty. LG customer service would not connect me for repairs because I had to go through the seller. Seller is not responding. Called LG back for assistance and they fell asleep on me over the phone. Will not be buying LG products in the future. Poor quality products and worse customer service.

I bought this TV in July 2021 and even with the UTMOST level of care within less than a year there was a surge and lines showing on the panel. LG replaced it but less than a year later the same thing happened and LG said I was out of luck on my warranty even though it was more than likely a faulty power system. Will likely never buy an LG OLED ever again.

This is an update to my previous review. I contacted customer support again as requested. I spent 5 plus arduous hours sending in photos and videos troubleshooting my TV. The analysis was what I already knew the TV is broken and out of warranty. I was told that I would have to shoulder the cost of repair. The TV is just 18 months old. I had already contacted a TV technician and he informed me that the panel has failed and would not be cost effective to repair. Advice from a very disappointed LG customer is to avoid this TV model. A quick google search will let you know that this model has been flawed from the beginning. I was hoping that LG would take responsibility for this poor product and either offer to repair or replace this very expensive TV. However I was offered a 15 coupon on my next LG purchase. I declined the offer as I have purchased my last LG product. The TV had a beautiful picture during its short 18 months existence. It is now just a very expensive boat anchor

When I purchased this tv 18 months ago I was blown away by the vibrant picture. I have really enjoyed this tv until today. Today the day before the Super Bowl the TV will not turn on. I contacted LG customer support and they were not able to help me fix the TV with a hard reset. They gave me a number for a repair technician that is 60 miles away. Of course the TV is 6 months out of warranty. We currently have a LG washer dryer and microwave and are very happy with them. Unfortunately this experience with the TV is extremely disappointing. I would have hoped that a TV this expensive would have lasted much much longer. The picture quality was amazing while it lasted. The problem is it didnt last long.

I have had the Lg C1 since 21. it was a big step up from my old Plasma. Only issue i have is the the auto dimming in dark scene. It seems to have been patched in the C2 and C3. But no updates for a known issue for the C1. other than that pretty solid device.

Our TV was a lemon. Hope yours isnt.

The TV was a lemon. Corduroy-like Lines developed across the screen at about 11 months. By the time I called customer service the 1 year warranty was up. There was no help from LG. Eventually a bright white vertical line showed up on left side of TV. Despite this annoyance we could still watch the TV. At 18 months the TV began to shut off repeatedly. Eventually it would not stay on for longer than 2 minutes. The $2K TV was unusable and it was less than 2 years old.

AVOID LG OLED TVs in the Seattle Area

Have 2 LG OLED TVs and have had nothing but problems with this model. Initially the TV had issues powering off and then back on randomly. Then after less than a year of use I have faint horizontal lines on both sides of the TV that are viewable during brighter scenes. Now after 2 years of use the TV will not stay on for longer than 60 seconds. Have followed all directions online for hard rebooting factory resetting turning off timer settings no SIMPLINK or Quickstart either. In order for my CC Extended Coverage Warranty to kick in I need an LG Authorized Repair company to diagnose the TV but the number provided for National Service always goes straight to Voicemail and online chat reps give me a local appliance dealer that doesnt service TVs and then say that there are no Authorized Repair companies in the Seattle area. If you are in this area avoid this TV and Company or get a warranty through the Business that has a no questions asked policy Costco Best Buy as LG will not help you and doesnt seem to care you are out thousands of dollars.

OLED65C1PUB TV review 11/15/2023

We have had this TV for two years. In that time we now have lines developing on the side of the TV that are only fixed by squeezing the bottom left hand of the TV. It looks as though this is a known hardware issue. When we had called LG support they put us in contact with two vendors that could repair the damage the TV shipped with as it is a known problem with this TV we did not know this and would have not have bought if it was known then. The vendors told us they are unable to replace it so we are left with no way to fix the TV. The TV is fantastic otherwise but for the price it dying in 2 years is unacceptable and makes me hesitant to buy from LG again given the lackluster support and faulty product.

I bought this TV back in March of 2022. So Ive only owned it for about a year and a half. The TV broke and wont turn on. Power cord and power outlets are not the issue. Whats even more infuriating is that the warranty was up after only 1 year. This is the 2nd time Ive had a major issue with LG tvs. Wont be purchasing an LG TV again. Buying a TV like this you would think that the TV would last for a long time. Pretty terrible that they manfuacture TVs to have such a short lifespan. Sound quality is okay on this TV.

Problems After Only 16 Months

All of a sudden for no reason red vertical line appeared in my television and after troubleshooting it it wouldnt go away. Outreached to LG the manufacturer I told them I was already passed the one-year warranty. But they gave me hope that theyd help and that turned into the runaround for 5-days asked me to troubleshoot it and send all kinds of proof of purchase and then told me it was out of warranty so they couldnt do anything to help. Id buy another brand that wont break after 16 months and leave you high and dry.

Good picture but poor sound export.

Picture looks amazing. I love the colors in the crispness of the images. Movies look amazing as well as shows. Whenever I use a soundbar no matter which one the sound that is exported from the HDMI eARC sounds terrible. Ive contacted two different soundbar companies and sound quality remains crackled through vocals. I tried different settings and nothing changed. I tried to contact customer support and nothing.

I bought this TV over 18 months ago before horizontal stripes began to appear on the screen. Unfortunately warranty ends after 1 year. This our 3rd LG OLED TV and was the only one to have this problem. The TV gets used max of 3 hours a day and only about 8 hours total per week. We have all safety setting enabled to prevent burn-in so I dont know what the issue was.

Picture quality - 8.8/10 Sound - 5/10 definitely need a sound bar or system to accompany it. Apps- 6.8/10 has major streaming apps but if you want ESPN NFL or other specific streaming apps you may need to get a firestick or Roku. Limited apps Overall 8/10 Very slim design and looks and operates great.

Overall a great TV for those that want to get an OLED with all HDMI Ports at 2.1 as well as a phenomenal picture. The design is simple and straightforward but I wish there wasnt nearly as many ads on screen for such an expensive TV. The base is a love/hate relationship as it is incredibly sturdy but also make any movement a chore due to the weight.

Until April 14 2023 15 months after purchase and well within the tag line advertised LG USA AUTHORIZED 2 Year Extended Protection Plan this LG OLED TV Model # OLED 65 C1 PUB TV developed a bright white line from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen approximately 10 inches in from the right side. Hours long phone calls with LG Service Technicians supervisors Amazon Logistics supervisors etc etc etc resulted in no repair and a denial by LG and Amazon regarding the reality of the extended protection plan warranty noted on the tag line for the product on the AMAZON order page. Promises by Amazon Logistics supervisor to call every day until the issue is resolved have resulted in absolutely NO phone calls.

beautiful Display in bright rooms

Decided to place Tv in living room over but room has lots of windows also wanted something that wasnt too thick looking when looking at the side or pulling away from wall to angle towards kitchen area. Gives a beautiful pcture and sound is decent. did have an issue with line but problem has seemed to disappear after running built in OLED care and checking for plastic that may cause overheating. would give 5 stars but cant connect to LG app ever since changing internet service providers even after resetting tv and removing info from app.

Unit works quite well with lots of options and versatility. Picture is fantastic. Difficulty getting sound to sink with external speakers controls are difficult to use and to properly show on the screen.

I would have loved an overview of the features and navigation tips so that I can maximize utilizing my tv. I have called LG support about 4 times on a a feature using the control to get any meta data that may pop up for a movie tv show BUT LG support did not know anything about the feature
