when it worked it was great. however within the first 1.5 yrs of owning the touchpad/control pad broke multiple times and the last time I was told itd need to be fully replaced which could cost up to $1000. I opted to buy a more reliable oven instead. Highly recommend avoiding LG kitchen appliances at all costs Ive had similar issues with my microwave - its a nightmare and completely not worth the money in the slightest

Burners stopped heating

This range was great until I realized that it wasnt. I quickly realized that the left two burners stopped heating after about 20 minutes Id only had the stove for about 2 months when I realized this or if I cooked something on them turned them off for a few minutes then tried to cook something else they wouldnt get back to temp. I called the store and was told to do a hard reset on the range by turning off the breaker but all that it did was work once again. The store that I bought it from sent a tech out 3 different times and replaced varies things basically replacing everything on the left side over $600 worth of stuff but it still kept doing the same thing. Now the left burners dont work at all. The store and I spent hours and hours on the phone with LG support sending information photos and videos of what the issue was. LG kept saying that it was our cookware so we bought new cookware and the store brought their own too and I mostly use cast iron which is preferred and still had the problem. We ended-up using 4 different types of cookware and all work great on the right two burners and not on the left so it is 100 not the cookware that I had bought to LG specifications anyway. Ive now had the stove for 2 years and use the right burners multiple times a day but try cooking meals for 15 people on holidays with only two burners after spending almost $4000 on a stove not fun. On a good note I do love the oven and the warming drawer.

I wanted a gas stove in my new condo but gas wasnt available. I had limited experience with induction cooking so went with an induction stove. I love my choice. I really like the appearance the knobs out front the oven interior the warming drawer and the smooth glass top. WiFi connection is cool if you like that kind of stuff. The stove can heat pans very quickly and control is similar to what youd get with gas. Remember that you need pots and pans that are compatible with induction. It is much safer and the surface when not in use is really needed when counter space is limited like mine. Im careful what I put on it because its glass but its big and flat. After 2 years there isnt a scratch on it. I show it off to my friends who would also like to have gas.

Ive been using my LG induction range for 2 full years and I love it. Im a fan of cooking with gas but it is not available to me so I went with induction and like it better. The stove top is still as clean as the day it was installed because I wipe it off regularly. It boils water quickly like gas would but it so much safer given the surface doesnt get too hot. I have very limited counter space so the flat surface is really helpful. I prefer the control knobs out front that it has. The oven and warming drawer are great. I show the stove off and recommend it to my friends.

When it works the LSE4617ST is a great range. The cooktop performance is stellar with turn on a dime temperature control and the ability to heat a pot of water very quickly. The oven does a great job as well. The problem is that within 4 months problems began. First the touchscreen would not respond no it was not on lock mode and needed to be power cycled to resume operation. Then a induction element would not work and a repair was done in August. The week before Thanksgiving the entire cooktop stopped working and Ive been without a working kitchen range since November 13th. The repair technicians have been very professional- nothing but 5 star ratings for those guys. However LG has yet to remedy the problem and the last communication was that they will not replace the range under warranty I reported the issue through their website the last day of the warranty and nobody knows how to fix the appliance. Ive been without a working appliance for 46 days. Not a good look for LG.

I bought this used from someone who felt married to their old RevereWare. Their mistake. The induction top is great If you dont yet know the advantages of induction cooking you need to learn. I do wish you could add an air-fry basket however. And the app tells you to clean the oven every week whether you used it or not. Other than that LG has hit it out of the park.

I bought this a year ago and the large burner will only work with a HEAVY pot on it full of water etc. The tech said i need to use cast iron for it to work but none of my induction pans work on this one burner but they wrk on the others. I have been fighting with LG for 3 months to get it replaced. Do not recommend this range or LG customer service.

I purchased the range three years ago when we bought our house. I love the quick boil feature the proof option and the convection oven operation. I have not used all the features but am happy I can if needed. I was disappointed that the clock stopped working then the oven stopped working during a clean cycle. The LG approved mechanic came out said it was fixed worked for 2 weeks then stopped working. So we paid again for the LG approved mechanic thank goodness a different mechanic who once again said the range was fixed and told me not to use the self cleaning function. Waiting to see if it continues to work.

This item came with our home purchase. its our first experience with induction and I like it My only criticism is the safety precautions for children are a little annoying being that I dont have any. I wish the ovens temp settings were a little more intuitive. But it works well and meals come out great. Ill learn how to customize it better with time.

Great range ugly in the kitchen

We replaced our dual fuel gas range with the stove and in terms of how it cooks it is truly excellent. But in our kitchen it looks like its wearing an ill-fitting shoe. There is a gap of an inch-and-a-half because the stove will not go flush against the wall. It also has gaps on either side. I have no idea how I will prevent junk from falling through the gaps. Even though we had new butcher block countertops cut but it was impossible to really fit it snuggly on the sides. LG should provide a trim kit.

a good Induction range/oven with two flaws

First off I have loved the switch to cooking on an Induction range. However this LG induction range is flawed in how it changes between heating intensities. One of the great selling points of induction ranges is that it provides gas-like control over your heat input to your cooking. This is true with the LG range each numeral value provides a good ctrl point for maintaining a steady cooking temperature. Yet this is where the range also fails in the goal of bringing the power of heat control to the induction market. When you change between values on the knobs the burner actually turns off before applying the new set value. this causes a drop in heat inputs and can negate the fine-tuned control you can have with inductions ranges. This issue is almost a deal breaker for me when suggesting the LG induction range to a friend its a good introduction but Ill not buy it again knowing what I know now. The second flaw I see is not being able to set the proofing temperature of the oven when using this mode/settiing. Its incredible that the oven has a proofing setting and Ive enjoyed being able to proof the dough at a set temperature while in my cooler than a normal house. However the setting is set to proof at 90F and is not changeable. For the doughs that Im making this is much too high and Id like to reduce the temperature to 70-75F. My workaround has been to set it to the proofing and check on it periodically if the offer is getting too hot I open the door. Im not sure if either of these things can be changed through a firmware update but it would be very very nice if they could be addressed.

Bought this range 3 months ago. While cooking on the front burner it made a loud noise and tripped the 50 amp circuit breaker in my panel. Service tech has been here 4 times replaced all the boardsthe burners the motherboard front burner still not working. Lg now wants him to replace the wiring harnesses. I bought this thinking that the price would mean it was properly made.WRONG Right now I just want a refund this is my 2nd LG range. My last one was a gas model and the oven coating started falling off into my food.LG ended up buying it back now 3 months later here I am again with garbage

Faulty stove horrible customer service

We bought this stove in February have had a tech come out 6 times since then. The stove is still not fully working. The tech did a horrible job and scratched the stove while he was trying to fix it. We have been going back and forth with customer service trying to return this stove and get a refund since they still have not fixed it but they are not giving us any resolution. Currently we have a stove that we are afraid to operate because there is a gap between the glass and the metal frame and if anything goes down the gap then there could be a circuit fire. The gap was made by the tech after poorly installing the glass back. Since they have started to try to fix the issues we have had more issues than before. This is the worst experience Ive had with an appliance company.

Installed less than a month ago and the stove hasnt worked. Awaiting replacement part for replacement. Repair man indicated he has seen similar issues with a lot of LG products. I would recommend a more stringent Quality inspection process so it is ready for use when shipped. Once everything works I may have a different experience to share.

I bought this unit a little over two months ago. Since day one Ive had issues that appear to be safety related as I get crackling noises from the largest burner. Ive contacted LG on numerous occasions and theyve sent out technicians and replace parts about three times in my unit. Till date nothing has been fixed and I still continue having this problem. I will never buy this product again and do not recommend it

I have had the service guy here back in February when I realized the oven wasnt maintaining the selected temperature and the cookies and cakes I was baking were not done when they were supposed to be. I called for service again two weeks ago service guy has ordered two electrical panels and will be here next week. Let hope that this corrects the problem.

Just got this a couple of weeks ago. Replaced another range induction that was - from the beginning - not very reliable although it was a high end brand to remain nameless. The oven functions great preheats well maintains temp well. The cooktop works exactly as it should with no issues. Our past range had controls touch on top and every time it got wet there or a pot was on the controls - it went nuts. This range is much more well designed and has none of those issues. The WiFi feature is a nice plus.

Dead on delivery no idea when it will be replaced

I ordered this range on 6/4/22 and it was delivered on 6/11/22. The cook top was non-functioning upon delivery. None of the induction burners would come on. No beep. No lights. No heat. I was told a replacement would come in 2-3 days. Then it would be here 7/13. Then 7/23. Now we are at 8/3 estimated delivery. I have been cooking on a hot plate for a month and will have to for at least another month. Not sure if I will ever get a functioning unit. That they let a product out of their factory with this major of a defect is a huge Red Flag and there is a very serious quality control issue with LG. I have serious concerns about the quality of the LG refrigerator I bought already this year and am extremely wary of replacing my dishwasher and microwave with an LG product. Clearly there are QC issues that need to be addressed with their products and I cannot recommend them.

Weve been really happy with our new induction oven. It boils water ridiculously fast on Boost mode. Its really easy to clean the cooktop. The oven is spacious and heats evenly. I appreciate the burner layout with the large elements in the front and the physical nobs to control them. My favourite little touch is the timer automatically turns off when your turn off the oven. Its a small thing but a nice UI tweak. There are only a few downsides. The WiFi feature Id rather not have. And the timer is very finicky to set - you either have to press the buttons very slowly or time it just right.

Cant recommend this item. Oven is fantastic. Nice to have warming drawer although I use it for storage. However the cooktop has too many limitations and is not practical or functional for normal life. The induction burners are very size specific. There is only one medium burner so if you want to use 2 medium pans at the same time one has to go on a small burner and then does not heat adequately. The large burner requires the pan/pot bottom to be at least 9.5 inches wide so a typical 11 inch fry pan DOES NOT work. My 11 inch fry pans have a base that is 9.25 inches. So instead of being able to cook what and how much you want your cooktop dictates your menu and volume.

We truly like the range but we unboxed it and the oven control would not power up That ok but it will take a month and a half to get someone to repair it because of where we live in northern Wisconsin. This is truly unacceptable for the money we spent on four LG products. A few calls to LG customer service with no change in repair date. Told expedited repair could be arranged and LG would contact us. No one has called in the last two weeks. I am holding my recommendation until this is resolved. Hoping for a better outcome.

Frustrating Cooktop

I ordered this months out and it finally came in. I bought this for it safety feature of having an induction cooktop. I find the smallest burner placed in the back or the cooktop is a bad idea. I am short and when there is another pan in front the cook cannot see what is in the pot - unless you take it off the cook top and move it where you can see in. I find the ratio to pots and pans on the cooktop difficult my 3 QT sauce pot is still too small for the right front burner. So it again is in the back and you cannot see in. I found this to be the case with all other manufacturers - so not just LG. To me this is a design flaw. The smallest burners used to be in front. There are three options for the oven baking and you have to watch to turn the dial to the correct feature one. I like how the oven temp shows during the warm up period and how the oven dings when it is at the correct temp. I am not sure I would buy and induction cook top again the issues I have with this cooktop would not be any different if I purchased them from another company.

We bought this about 2 years ago the induction stove top works really good but the oven is worthless. We dont use our oven often but when we did it under cooked or over cooked. Thought it was something we did wrong and on somethings it didnt effect it to bad. Finally realized after we used an oven thermometer that the lower temperature was okay but above 350 was 20 degrees to hot. We had technicians come 6 or more times and replace numerous parts and still the same. LG did cover all but the initial service call but didnt fix the problem.

Began using this range in January 2022 and am pleased with most of the extensive list of features. Love the substantial feel and location of the front controls - they dont interfere with the cooking surface. The drawer at the bottom serves me well for storage of cookware lids. The rapid heating capability of the burners on boost is great There are a couple things that could be better based on comparison to an induction range I owned previously. The burner elements turn off if a pot or pan is removed for more than few seconds such as when flipping contents and I have to turn the burner control off and back on again to proceed with cooking. Also the burners are overly sensitive to centering of the cookware on the burner - the burner stops heating if the cookware is moved off-center accidentally while stirring contents for example. Getting the wi-if working was difficult due to minimal guidance in the instructions. Lastly the cooktop surface is a little harder to clean than my previous induction cooktop. Overall I would buy this model again.

Had the range for about 10 days. Used the range top every day and used the oven 3 times for baking and once for cooking chicken to test it out. So far so good. No problems easy to operate very quiet and the ease of clean up far surpasses cleaning our old gas range.

I bought this range two months ago and have really enjoyed cooking and baking with this LG induction and convection range. Induction beats gas in its speed in coming to a boil and its ability to truly simmer. The cooktop is fussy on the size of your induction ready pot or pan. It will not work if the pan is too small for the burner but there are lots of options to choose from on the other burners. The slide out oven rack is a real boon in handling heavy pots. I love the bright lights to see how the baking is going. This oven heats up much faster than my prior electric oven. Love the warming oven for dinner plates So happy with my purchase

Large Burner Does not Heat Evenly

I was truly excited to receive this range a month an a half ago and finally get rid of the radiant electric range that I loathed. So far however this range has been incredibly disappointing. The major problem is with the large burner on the cooktop. LG claims that this is an 11 inch burner and I take that to mean that it can heat up the full 11 inches evenly. Well it doesnt and two technicians and replacement of the heating element later it still doesnt. On my largest fry pan it only heats the inner 7 inches or so. The edges of the pan remain hundreds of degrees cooler than the center. Ive verified this with both an infrared thermometer and a probe style cooking thermometer. Boiling a shallow amount of water in the pan also shows that only a small area in the center of the pan is heating while the rest doesnt. Part of the issue is that the working part of the burner is not actually 11 inches in diameter more like 9 3/4 see photo of replacement element that LG sent me. Their 11 inch specification includes the plastic mounting tabs around the outside which of course do not heat the pan. LG has contended that the problem is that my fry pans are not perfectly flat on the bottom. Well thats ridiculous. No fry pan is perfectly flat on the bottom. Take a straight edge to your own pans if you do not believe me. All fry pans bulge at least a little in part because they do not heat perfectly uniformly on most cooktops. I own several fry pans from major brands as well as three carbon steel pans. None of them are perfectly flat and they arent supposed to be. Aside from this major issue there are a number of other nuisances with this range. The cooling fans make an annoying humming sound for 15 minutes or more after you have turned off the stove. Just what you want while eating dinner The timer and oven temperature control is difficult to use. It easily zooms past the time or temp you want to set and then beyond it again when you try to go back down. The cooktop also comes with dial type controls which I prefer over touch controls but when you turn these dials they do not smoothly adjust the temperature but rather they shut of the heat completely for 3 or 4 seconds before restarting at the new temperature. This is easy to tell when say boiling water and then bringing it back down to a simmer. And lastly LGs induction heating elements do not detect the size pan you are using as most other induction ranges do. Even some medium fry pans that work fine on a small burner will cause the large one to shut off. All of this is incredibly disappointing. For an appliance in this price range I expect superior performance and refined features. This one doesnt deliver either.

I have had this range only about six weeks but I am pleased with it so far. It is sharp-looking and goes well with our kitchen but more important of course is that it performs exactly as I had hoped. I wont recount the advantages of induction over any other kind of range though they are obvious to anyone who has used the various kinds available for residential cooking. The different-sized burners accommodate a wide range of pots and pans remember they must be induction-compatible. The oven preheats quickly and bakes evenly. All of the controls are easy to master.

I bought my induction range about a month ago we are more than pleased with it. Its more efficient than using gas. I boil a pot of water for spaghetti in about 2 minutes vs 10-12 minutes before with my electric range. It only gets hot when a pot is placed on it so my grandkids cant burn themselves. Its also so sleek attractive unlike my old clunky range. Glad we took the plunge bought it.

I love this range pure and simple. The speed is amazing - imagine boiling water/reheating stew in a third the time - and it looks gorgeous and cleans up in a trice I havent baked anything other than chicken yet but even that seems to cook more evenly and quickly than my old electric range. I thought Id rarely use the warming drawer but its becoming a favorite feature for everything from waffles to tortillas. I originally planned to switch to natural gas but decided to try more energy efficient and environmentally friendly induction and Im thrilled with my decision

We bought this range to replace a gas range which did not provide consistent baking in the gas oven in June 2021. Our daughter-in-law introduced the idea for an induction stove top to us we were thinking to buy a dual fuel range and we have been very pleased with our decision The glass stove top is SO EASY to maintain and its beautiful in my newly renovated kitchen The speed of heating anything is amazing and only takes a little practice to adjust your habits. A full teapot only takes 3 minutes We made the decision to replace our old cookware with a better quality steel product to enhance our cooking on this induction stove. The oven is wonderful and with the full convection option baking anything is a joy Three casseroles or baking sheets of cookies bake evenly and completely in the time suggested in most recipes Which never happened in the old gas oven.. And its so pretty My guests always are surprised to see the pretty blue interior. Three racks the middle sliding rack is awesome make cooking a multi-dish meal a breeze and the warming oven more than met my hopes for maintaining heat in a baked dish while baking others at a different temperature. It really does take the place of a second oven I had wanted a double oven I thought. I havent tried proofing bread yet but the other options work great. The broiler is super hot and Ive learned to reduce temperature to low to thoroughly cook certain meats. Finally the ease of cleaning the stovetop really enhances my joy of having this range It usually cleans up with water and a microfiber cloth but I do use the included Glass cleaner to really polish it up or to get oil off after frying. I havent cleaned the oven yet but Im sure the easy clean option will work great. Thank you LG FOR AN AWESOME RANGE

After spending many hours on weekends researching ranges I finally decided on the LD induction LSE4617ST. I had no idea how wonderful it was. It can boil a small pot of water in 20-25 seconds The induction cooktop is very impressive with its cooking capability and ability to adjust the heat for extremely high heat for stir fry to low simmer. The over bakes perfectly and evenly. The easy glide middle rack is awesome. The Wifi alerts and abiIity to control the range from your iPhone or iPad is the cherry on top. I couldnt be happier with my purchase.

Bought an induction stove as our house is all electric and LGs version is good looking with good features. Heats pans ridiculously fast and water boils super fast. Tempurature control seems good. Still learning to clean the top well. One heating element gives us an erro on high but probably user error still checking. Wifi will not connect at all despite that I have other LG Connect devices working fine in my house within feet. Requires a 50A breaker but we knew that and planned for it. Love the blue oven finish and multiple rack choices though they stick a little when sliding.

Overall great experience so far. Works great. Love the roller rack in the oven. Takes a little bit of experimentation to learn the induction top heat levels but once you get it they are awesome fast consistent easy to use IF there were some places I would suggest for future models or firmware updates it would be 1 right away the oven told me / suggested it was time to run a cleaning cycle? Why? 2 if the clicks fan and buzzing noises of the induction system could be reduced that would be nice and 3 MOST of all I would love to see you add a sous vide probe and control as an optional piece of hardware and software just like the new GE induction top.
