Every Thing ypu Could want in a Range

I have owned this induction range for about 2 years and it lives up to all the clams and then some. We love how quickly it cooks on the turbo burners and how quickly the oven heats up. But beyond that its all that a range should be: cooks well bakes quickly when in convection mode does not heat up the house after baking cooking surface cleans up easily saves energy. What more could you want?

We have owned this stove now for over 4 years. We are very pleased with every aspect of the stove. Its our first induction stove and it is amazing. Very quick to heat up your food easily controlled temps and the top doesnt get very hot so nothing gets burned on the glass. The convection over is excellent as well. Recently had a couple of burners quit. Will the LG repairman was awesome. These are complicated machines and he worked hard to make it right. We were very impressed with the companys effort to honor the extended warranty and fix the machine.

Great Range Overall

Lovely range but two elements stopped working almost immediately after installation. LG scheduled a repair quickly. Unfortunately they brought the wrong part for the repair and had to order another part for the product. Service group were responsive but still awaiting parts at this time so hopefully this will resolve the outstanding issues.

Locking mechanism has a quirk.

My experience has been very good except for when my oven door locked while using your highest temperature. After the bell rang when my timer was up I tried to open the door to get my food out and it was locked. Two different service companies tried to open the door and the second one was successful. But it cost me $300. BAD

Locking feature works the exact opposite of useful

The stove when it works works great. The problem is needing to be reset from the breaker Additionally I bought from costco so should have an extended warranty yet I was told it was already out of warranty within the 2 year manufacturer warranty with costco The real problem which should be an easy firmware update from LG is the locking feature. When do you need to lock an oven and controls? When they are hot. When are they hot? When it is on. Yet you cannot lock the controls when it is on nor can you lock the oven door shut when it is on. Meaning if you have a curious toddler and a roast in the oven you must be with the toddler every second to stop them from opening the door and burning themselves. LG fix that. I dont need to lock a cold oven that is only a matter of convenience not safety. Likewise turning stove knobs when there isnt anything on the stove does nothing induction i need to be able to lock the controls when in use.

Had this thing about a yr. The cooktop gets hot fast which is great. But it has some real faults. First: the vent. A totally stupid design. You cant clean the thing. Food drops in and the cover is locked in. Unremoveable. You need a vacuum w an attachment the size of a straw to clean it. Whatever Einstein designed that doesnt ever cook on a stove. And the front control panel stopped working for about a week. We could use the cool top but not the oven. It had power but the other controls would not function. I called to have it serviced less than a yr old mind you and then mysteriously the panel started working again. So Im not feeling confident that this rather expensive appliance will stand the rest of time. Your mileage may vary.

Dont use the self-clean function I used it on my 3-year old range/oven and the glass on the inside of the oven door shattered. I tried to get compensated from LG for the repair but they refused. Apparently the self-clean function isnt meant to be used. haha I wont be buying or recommending any more LG appliances.

Love the tech not the practice

Right out of the box it was phenomenal We were amazed at induction cooking. After awhileits been about 2 years we have been getting inconsistencies in the burners and weird noises. Pulling the range out and resetting it unplugging and replugging helps but only for some time. We are totally in favor of induction but unless your going high end gas is just simpler and more reliable

Like it a lot but with a few caveats

The induction top cooks very quickly however I find it difficult to keep clean. I must use the Cerama Bryte cream cleaner for it to look shiny and clean. Unfortunately window or countertop cleaner doesnt work well. I called Customer Service with 2 questions that I believe should have been easy and which were not included in the instruction manual and was on the phone for an hour but the rep was unable to answer either question. This really gave me pause about my purchase.

A frustrating wreck

Just the absolute worst. We bought this range 2 years ago and we loved it for the first year and a half. In the past couple months weve had the repair people here to look at it FIVE times and weve spent $700 on repairs. They replaced multiple circuit boards and told us they work on LG stoves more than any other brand due to faulty circuit boards that are placed where they can overheat if you use the warming drawer frequently. A couple of days ago the repair people felt confident it was fixed after replacing multiple boards. It worked fine for a few days and now the burners are malfunctioning again and the diagnostic on the app says theres an issue with the inverter. It feels like were just throwing money away trying to get this fairly new range to even work. Were deeply frustrated and wont be buying LG appliances again.

Its Okay not great.

First Time LG Customer 6/16/2023

I like how it looks and all of the features even though I havent owned it long enough to try them. It was a good value for the $$. But Im disappointed at how long it takes the burners to warm up. Cast iron pans are what we typically use. So they are induction compatible. I am also disappointed that cosmetic issues are not covered under warranty. We have A LOT of pitting in the stainless steel. I and was told there was nothing that LG can do to help us resolve the problem. I asked if they could recommend a way to try to remove the marks. They told me to try baking soda with dish soap. If that doesnt work the LG customer service rep told me to call Lowes where we purchased the range to see what they recommend to try to remove the marks. This is not what I was hoping to hear as a first time LG buyer. This is probably the first and last LG product we will purchase.

Great Induction Range

Simple fast reliable

Ive had my induction stove for about three years continues to work great. Cooking with a stove that gets so hot so fast took some learning yet heat modulation/control is nice.

LG needs to be better......

I bought our second LG LSE4616ST for our winter home. The induction burners started to turn off during cooking. LG said we needed HEXCLAD pots and pans. We have been long time LG INDUCTION users in our other home and it operates with regular induction pots and pans. We did upgrade to HEXCLAD and still have the same inconsistent performance from the burners. LG refuses to replace the defect and have been very difficult to deal with. We have a complete LG kitchen including frig dishwasher microwave etc and love them but the induction range is not performing and either is LG.

Induction arrived entirely broken

After a very long lead time our induction stove arrived entirely broken shuts off after ten seconds clicks at all hours. We are now waiting for a new lead time but have been told itll be months. I was warned about LG and wish I had listened

So Far So Good

Weve only had this range for a few weeks now but so far it has performed as advertised and we are getting used to induction cooking having had a gas stove for many years. It definitely heats as quick or quicker than gas and the temperature regulation is rather precise.

Decent Product

I have had this range for two years and it is the third induction range I have owned. While the overall product is a decent one mine has been faulty. Soon after I bought it the power boil feature didnt work on the left side of the cook top. I called warranty service and the service man replaced the mother board. Two months later it happened again. I didnt call for service right away because the other burners worked fine and I could make do with those After finally getting to the bottom of my to do list and calling for service again I find out that not only is the mother board bad again but both the front and rear burners are burned out on the left hand side. LG parts are back ordered and I dont know WHEN I will get the parts in to be able to have the cook top fixed. The range is just about two years old and it hasnt really EVER worked properly. The oven seems ok but took some getting used to for baking/cooking very hot on the top rack not so much on the bottom. Would love to hear from LG regarding my situation as my service person said that LG should be reaching out to me regarding the extended wait period for parts.

I adapted to the induction mode right away water for tea boils very quickly. The knobs are easy to use and intuitive and theyre placed in front for easy access. My only complaint: I had to buy new pots and pans..
