Fast but fragile

Heats things very fast on cooktop but induction burners seem fragile. Had a cast iron skillet heating up for ham and cheese sandwiches and it seemed to over heat the burner causing it to malfunction. Because that burner was connected with another smaller burner it took them both out. I also do alot of canning and wondering if that caused the burner to wear out? The service tech replaced one smart board but it didnt fix the issue. He came back a second time and replaced 3 of the smart board panels and still it was not fixable. Thankfully LG covered the repair cost otherwise it would have been close to 1000.00 Looking for a new range now.

Every Thing ypu Could want in a Range

I have owned this induction range for about 2 years and it lives up to all the clams and then some. We love how quickly it cooks on the turbo burners and how quickly the oven heats up. But beyond that its all that a range should be: cooks well bakes quickly when in convection mode does not heat up the house after baking cooking surface cleans up easily saves energy. What more could you want?

We have owned this stove now for over 4 years. We are very pleased with every aspect of the stove. Its our first induction stove and it is amazing. Very quick to heat up your food easily controlled temps and the top doesnt get very hot so nothing gets burned on the glass. The convection over is excellent as well. Recently had a couple of burners quit. Will the LG repairman was awesome. These are complicated machines and he worked hard to make it right. We were very impressed with the companys effort to honor the extended warranty and fix the machine.

Great Range Overall

Lovely range but two elements stopped working almost immediately after installation. LG scheduled a repair quickly. Unfortunately they brought the wrong part for the repair and had to order another part for the product. Service group were responsive but still awaiting parts at this time so hopefully this will resolve the outstanding issues.

Locking mechanism has a quirk.

My experience has been very good except for when my oven door locked while using your highest temperature. After the bell rang when my timer was up I tried to open the door to get my food out and it was locked. Two different service companies tried to open the door and the second one was successful. But it cost me $300. BAD

Locking feature works the exact opposite of useful

The stove when it works works great. The problem is needing to be reset from the breaker Additionally I bought from costco so should have an extended warranty yet I was told it was already out of warranty within the 2 year manufacturer warranty with costco The real problem which should be an easy firmware update from LG is the locking feature. When do you need to lock an oven and controls? When they are hot. When are they hot? When it is on. Yet you cannot lock the controls when it is on nor can you lock the oven door shut when it is on. Meaning if you have a curious toddler and a roast in the oven you must be with the toddler every second to stop them from opening the door and burning themselves. LG fix that. I dont need to lock a cold oven that is only a matter of convenience not safety. Likewise turning stove knobs when there isnt anything on the stove does nothing induction i need to be able to lock the controls when in use.
